The Eagle Ridge™ community was built to last. Not just the homes, but the land that surrounds it.
Walk and Play
We’ve made getting exercise easy with over five miles of interconnected paved walking trails. There is also a spray park, pocket parks and the 5.8 acre Whispering Pines Park with a rock climbing wall, putting green, tot lot and basketball court. Whether you walk or play, getting outdoors is a great way to take steps to improve your health and reduce your carbon footprint.
Within the Eagle Ridge community, curbside recycling is available for plastics, aluminum and paper for all homes. For other items, residents can stop by the Information Center to drop off batteries, ink cartridges, or cell phones for recycling. At certain times of the year there is e-waste recycling in the community; watch the resident website for the next e-waste recycling event.
Eagle Ridge has over 160 acres of forested common space that has been preserved in its natural state. As well, throughout the community, native drought-resistant grasses are used in common areas helping to reduce the need for irrigation and mowing. The community also has storm drainage and retention systems for handling water on-site. Homebuilders are required to use trees in their landscaping plans ensuring that streetscapes will be tree-lined, creating shady walkways. These steps help to not only keep the neighborhood beautiful; they’re kind to the planet.
If you’re looking for a green home, they’re available in the Eagle Ridge community. Some of the performance features that distinguish an ENERGY STAR home from an average quality home are enhanced insulation, air sealing, mechanical ventilation and high-efficiency appliances. Green homes help save you money in utility bills, and preserve our climate.
Eagle Ridge has a Live Green Program which includes quarterly education sessions, green tips and updates and an annual Earth Day event that features a community cleanup, tree planting and green give-aways for all who attend.
Shopping local is encouraged in the Eagle Ridge community. Located one mile from the community are many local businesses including the popular Chaps restaurant, Latah Bistro, the Foxy Horse & Hound and Elite Salon to name a few. Find out about all of the nearby businesses and any offered local discounts by visiting Latah Partners website.
